Rachel Reyes, is currently working on her Master's of Flute Performance at ASU. Originally from Seattle, WA, is an active soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. Ms. Rachel is a supportive teacher that provides encouragement-based teaching designed to accommodate each student's individualized learning styles.
In addition to her national performances, Rachel was invited to perform and teach masterclasses as principal of the University of Washington Wind Ensemble on their performance tour of China in 2019. Rachel graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Music Performance degree and studied with Professor Donna Shin at the University of Washington (UW). At UW, she also performed as principal of the UW Symphony Orchestra, with the Baroque and Modern Ensembles, and in various chamber music ensembles. Prior to this, she has performed alongside the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Modern Orchestra; and under the direction of renowned conductors such as Ludovic Morlot, JoAnn Falletta, Gemma New, and Michael Jinbo. She will continue her studies at Arizona State University with Dr. Elizabeth Buck in pursuit of a Master of Music Performance degree.
Outside of performing, Rachel has a passion for teaching and her love of music with others. Prior to moving to Arizona, she maintained her own private studio and often gave masterclasses to students ranging from beginners to undergraduate college students in the Greater Seattle Area
