Ms. Sofia is a joyful, high-energy, and caring piano, guitar, ukulele, and vocal instructor who brings excitement and positivity into every lesson. As both a performer and educator, she creates a welcoming environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to grow.

Sofia is a true student cheerleader who celebrates each student’s progress and helps them recognize their own musical strengths. She believes every student has a unique voice and encourages them to explore, create, and build confidence through music.

Her teaching style is imaginative, fun, and engaging. She combines creativity with strong musical foundations to help students develop skills while enjoying the process of learning.

A Lifelong Love of Music

Sofia’s love for music began at an early age with the encouragement of her family. She followed her passion by studying a variety of instruments, including piano, guitar, ukulele, saxophone, and voice.

Throughout her childhood, Sofia lived in several places, including Mexico, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, and Texas, experiencing many different cultures and musical influences. She also visited Phoenix regularly to spend time with relatives, creating a special connection to the area.

Vocal Performance and Musical Experience

Sofia studied Vocal Performance at the University of Texas at Austin, where she focused on vocal technique, performance, and musicianship. During her studies, she performed in operas, musicals, chamber choir, show choir, and jazz ensembles.

She also served as a choir section leader, developing leadership skills and learning the importance of teamwork, encouragement, and community within music.

Helping Students Find Their Musical Voice

Sofia brings her performance experience and love of music into every lesson. She helps students explore piano, guitar, ukulele, and voice while building confidence, creativity, and a lifelong connection to music.
