Romy is a dedicated violin, viola and piano instructor who creates fun, engaging lessons for students of all ages. She especially enjoys working with young children and strives to build confidence while inspiring a lifelong love of music.
She is a strong advocate for music reading, solid fundamentals, and excellent technique. Romy believes these essential skills give students the independence to learn new music confidently on their own. Her lessons build a strong musical foundation that prepares students for long-term growth and lifelong enjoyment of music.
A Lifelong Music Maker Workshops Student
Romy has been part of the Music Maker Workshops family since she was five years old, when she began taking piano and violin lessons. As she grew older, she assisted with the studio’s Kindermusik® program. Today, she has come full circle by returning as a violin and piano instructor, sharing her passion for music with the next generation of students.
Education & Performance Experience
Romy is currently studying Violin Performance at Mesa Community College and plans to transfer to Arizona State University to continue her musical education.
She performs with the Mesa Community College Community Orchestra and continues to study both violin and piano. Earlier in her musical career, she served as Concertmaster of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony. She was also selected as a First Violinist for the Arizona All-State Orchestra in 2017.
Inspiring a Love of Music
Romy enjoys performing and teaching a wide variety of musical styles, including classical, jazz, and video game music. She also enjoys composing original music in her free time.
At Music Maker Workshops in Ahwatukee, Phoenix, Arizona, Romy combines her teaching experience, performance background, and enthusiasm for music to help students grow with confidence. Whether students are taking their very first lesson or continuing their musical journey, she provides encouraging, personalized instruction in a welcoming and supportive environment.
