Esther Beack – Master Piano & Voice Instructor | AZ Study Program Instructor
Esther Beack is an accomplished piano teacher, voice instructor, pianist, composer, choir director, and music educator with more than 25 years of teaching and performance experience. She specializes in classical piano, voice lessons, music theory, jazz piano, and Arizona Study Program (ASP) preparation. She helps students of all ages build confidence, technical excellence, and a lifelong love of music.
Piano & Voice Lessons for Every Student
Esther began studying piano with her mother at the age of five. She later continued her formal training with Dr. Younghee Kim at Pusan National University in South Korea. In addition, she studied voice with Professor Min Sang-soon. Singing in a women’s choir inspired her lifelong passion for vocal performance and music education.
After earning her bachelor’s degree, Esther worked as a professional music arranger using MIDI technology. At the same time, she continued her studies in jazz piano, composition, and music theory with renowned jazz composer Professor Panguen Lee at the Seoul Institute of the Arts.
Later, Esther earned master’s degrees in Conducting and Theology. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Piano Pedagogy under Dr. Yune at WMU CA.
Arizona Study Program & Competition Preparation
Esther has been a member of the East Valley Music Teachers’ Association (EVMTA) since 2011. During that time, she has helped countless students succeed in the Arizona Study Program. She teaches Piano and Music Theory Levels 1–12 and prepares students for every level of the program.
In addition, Esther prepares students for respected piano competitions. These include the EVMTA Piano Competition, Arizona Musicfest, and the Desert Hills Piano Competition. Her students develop strong performance skills, confidence, and musical excellence through careful preparation.
Professional Performance Experience
Esther is also an accomplished performer. She has performed orchestral works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Beethoven, Elgar, and Dvořák. Her performance experience brings artistry, musical insight, and real-world knowledge into every lesson.
Personalized Piano & Voice Instruction
Esther believes every student can achieve musical excellence. She combines patient instruction with encouragement and personalized guidance. As a result, students develop strong piano technique, music theory skills, sight-reading, ear training, creativity, and expressive performance.
She teaches classical piano, jazz piano, voice, Christian contemporary music, film music, and Disney favorites. Furthermore, she tailors every lesson to each student’s interests and goals. She also offers piano lessons in both English and Korean, making lessons accessible and comfortable for Korean-speaking families.
Whether students are preparing for recitals, competitions, auditions, or the Arizona Study Program, or simply learning for fun, Esther helps them become skilled, confident, and joyful musicians at Music Maker Workshops in Ahwatukee, Phoenix, Arizona.
