Ms. Andrea – Cello & Piano Instructor | Director of Cello Choir
Ms. Andrea is a dedicated cello and piano instructor at Music Maker Workshops. She is also the Director of Cello Choir, where she helps students experience the joy of playing music together.
With a structured and supportive teaching style, Andrea helps students build strong musical foundations. She uses step-by-step instruction to make learning clear and approachable. As a result, students can develop technique, confidence, and a deeper understanding of music.
Personalized Cello and Piano Lessons
Andrea believes every student has their own learning style and goals. Because of this, she creates customized lessons that fit each student’s needs, abilities, and musical interests.
She provides private cello lessons for children and adults, from beginners to advanced players. In addition, she teaches beginning piano students and helps them develop important skills such as music reading, technique, and musicianship.
Andrea also values communication with families. She encourages parents to attend lessons and be involved in their student’s progress. Through this partnership, students receive support both inside and outside the lesson environment.
Director of Cello Choir
As the Director of Cello Choir, Andrea gives students the opportunity to learn and perform as part of an ensemble. Students develop listening skills, teamwork, rhythm, and musical expression while experiencing the excitement of making music with others.
The Cello Choir provides a fun and encouraging way for students to grow beyond private lessons. Through group performance, students gain confidence and learn the importance of collaboration.
Education and Musical Experience
Andrea graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boise State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Cello. She continued her education at Arizona State University School of Music, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Music in December 2017.
Since joining Music Maker Workshops in summer 2012, Andrea has shared her knowledge, patience, and passion for music with students of all ages and abilities.
Through her private instruction and ensemble leadership, Andrea helps students become skilled, confident musicians while developing a lifelong appreciation for music.
