Brass Instructor

Trumpet, Trombone, & French Horn Lessons in Ahwatukee

Davey is a Colorado native who is currently pursuing a degree in Trumpet Performance at Arizona State University after previously studying Jazz Performance at the University of Denver. He teaches on Saturdays at MMW in Ahwatukee. In addition to trumpet he also teaches trombone and french horn.

Performance Experience

Davey is an active performer who has worked with respected ensembles including the Colorado Symphony, Denver Young Artists Orchestra, Phoenix Symphony, Phoenix Youth Symphony, Colorado Brass, and the Salt River Brass Band. He also works with several marching bands throughout the Valley and has been featured as a guest soloist with numerous high school ensembles.

Teaching Philosophy

Davey believes music lessons should be both fun and rewarding. He encourages students to develop strong musical skills while building confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music. His patient and positive teaching style helps students of all ages feel comfortable as they learn and grow.

Beyond the Music

In every lesson, Davey strives to teach more than just notes and rhythms. He helps students develop problem-solving skills, self-discipline, practice perseverance, that will benefit them both in music and in everyday life.
