Ms Sofia is a passionate music educator and performer. Her teaching style is imaginative, fun, educative, and encouraging. Her family encouraged her to follow her heart and at an early age she worked with many wonderful teachers, studying piano, guitar/ukulele, saxophone, and voice. She also lived in many places, including Mexico, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, and Texas, she also visited her relatives in Phoenix almost every year of her childhood. Sofia has always loved sharing music with others, and gravitated toward any possible way to create music! She’s a band kid, a theater kid, and a choir kid still, deep in her roots. She loves to sing her heart out, so she studied Vocal Performance at the University of Texas in Austin. While studying Vocal Technique, she had many performance experiences in Operas, Musicals, Chamber Choir, Show Choir, Jazz ensembles, and working as a Choir Section Leader. She also served tables and performed at a sweet ol’ southern comfort food restaurant. She later got to be a PreSchool teacher, an Early Childhood Music Teacher, and a Private Lesson Music Teacher. There was a change of plans in her life, her partner accepted a new job in Phoenix, so at the beginning of 2023 she found herself moving once again!
