Justin C.
Drum Instructor
Justin C is an established drum teacher and performer in Arizona. His teaching philosophy for drums revolves around three key principles: foundational skills, creativity, and enjoyment. Since, he has been an active performer and educator through various performing groups including “Boom! Percussion Entertainment”. He understand just how fun performing can be! Boom! creates custom percussion and marching band entertainment productions for a variety of events both private/corporate events along with nationally televised performances for clients such as Fox Television, NASCAR, the NHL, NBA and Disney.
As an educator, Justin has had the honor of instructing some amazing young musicians at local high schools such as Shadow Mountain High School, Mesquite High School, Mountain View High School, Coronado High School and (currently) Mesa High School; where his students were ranked 1st place in percussion and were named the 2022 fall AZ Marching Band Association State Champions.
As a performer, he started his experience playing drums at church (right down the street from our studio!) and then high school marching band. Beyond high school, Justin also performed with the Momentum Indoor Percussion Open Line in Gilbert, Arizona. He also served as center snare and section leader of Breakthrough Indoor Percussion and marched with Winterguard International World Championship Finalist Paragon Competitive Arts. In 2007, Justin won the title of Snare Drum Champion by the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association.
Justin continues to play drum set with various bands throughout the valley in between performing with Boom! and teaching.
