Danielle P. is a dedicated flute instructor at Music Maker Workshops, where she has earned a strong reputation for helping students grow as confident and expressive musicians. With extensive performance experience and a passion for teaching, Danielle provides a supportive learning environment where students can build strong foundations and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.
Building Strong Flute Technique and Musical Confidence
Danielle focuses on developing the essential skills every successful flutist needs, including tone production, breath control, articulation, finger technique, and intonation. She carefully guides students through proper fundamentals while helping them develop confidence, musical expression, and independence.
Her lessons incorporate a wide range of repertoire, from classical to contemporary styles, allowing students to explore different musical genres while expanding their skills. In addition, Danielle integrates music theory, sight-reading, and ensemble skills to help students become well-rounded musicians. She encourages students to embrace challenges, discover their creativity, and enjoy the process of learning music.
Education and Performance Experience
Danielle holds a Master’s Degree in Flute Performance from Arizona State University, where she studied under the guidance of Dr. Elizabeth Buck. She also earned two Bachelor’s degrees from Northern Arizona University in Flute Performance and Graphic Design.
Throughout her musical career, Danielle has performed for and studied with distinguished flutists, including Dr. Lisa Garner Santa, Dr. Magda Schwerzmann, and Professor Richard Sherman. She has also performed in ASU ensembles, including orchestra, wind ensemble, and the Arizona Contemporary Music Ensemble, as well as participating in Woodwind Area Recitals.
