Todd O.


Todd O. is a Doctoral Candidate and Teaching Assistant for the Trumpet Studio at Arizona State University. With a strong passion for teaching, Todd excels at connecting with students of all levels and helping them reach their full potential. He takes a hands-on approach in lessons, often playing alongside his students to demonstrate techniques, improve embouchure, and develop confidence.

Todd completed his undergraduate degree in trumpet performance and music education at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD, in May 2020, and earned his master’s degree in trumpet performance in May 2022 at Wichita State University in Wichita, KS. While at Peabody, he served as the principal trumpet with the Peabody Conductor’s Orchestra and was a member of the Old Bay Brass quintet.

In addition to his performance career, which includes soloing at venues like Verizon Hall and the Baltimore Basilica, Todd has extensive teaching experience. He has worked with public schools and high school band programs in Maryland, Kansas, and Arizona, as well as private music schools in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Arizona. Todd’s engaging and collaborative teaching style makes him an inspiring mentor who prioritizes each student’s individual journey to success.
