Ms. Rachel celebrates 1 year teaching at MMW

Introducing Ms. Rachel R, Flute & Piano Instructor

Rachel Reyes has been teaching at the studio for 1 year already.  She is making beautiful music with her students both virtually and in-studio.  Last year she moved from Seattle, WA to pursuit a Master of Music Performance degree from ASU.   She is studying with Dr. Elizabeth Buck.  She is an active soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. 
In addition to her national performances, Rachel was invited to perform and teach master classes as principal of the University of Washington Wind Ensemble on their performance tour of China. 
Rachel graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Music Performance degree and studied with Professor Donna Shin at the University of Washington (UW). At UW, she also performed as principal of the UW Symphony Orchestra, with the Baroque and Modern Ensembles, and in various chamber music ensembles.
We are so thankful to have a musician with this talent and experience on our team.  Rachel has provided high-quality lessons and has received great feedback from students and parents of students.

A Message from Rachel

One of my favorite memories at the studio this past year has been seeing all of the amazing students' progress during the live and online recitals. It's been so long since I've been able to see other families or students during the pandemic so seeing everyone's smiling faces (or more like happy eyes above the masks!) and hearing the students' wonderful talents at our live recital was absolutely magical.
I also was ecstatic to see my students and many others perform at our virtual recital! It's incredible to think we can all be making beautiful music together from all over the city.
