Music Maker Workshops hosted an instrument petting zoo for the local community.

Mr. Jacob Playing the Tuba

This is a picture of Mr. Jacob C. playing the trombone for a young participant.

On Saturday, August 13th, Music Maker Workshop hosted an instrument petting zoo where children could come and touch (play) different instruments and listen to how they sounded.

Instruments included the piano, Marimba drums, percussion instruments, brass & woodwind instruments.

The instrument petting zoo was hosted by Mr. Jacob.  Jacob is a musician and composer.  A french horn player of 13 years.  he has earned top seats in numerous invitational clinics, wind ensembles, and orchestras at the academic level. In addition, Jacob has performed concerts on trumpet and tuba, and as a baritone singer.

Jacob is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Composition at Arizona State University, where he serves as a graduate teaching assistant for the second-year music theory and aural skills class. Jacob teaches brass instruments, piano, and music composition at Music Maker Workshops.

Jacob was so great with the children and we were thankful to have such a talented teacher showcase these instruments.

Sand art activity for children & parents was a success.

Afterwards, children were invited to make an art masterpiece with their parents.
