Enrollment: 

A non-refundable fee of $35.00 for initial students and a $25.00 per additional student(s) is required at the time of registration in order to secure a lesson spot. This is non-refundable. Returning students will be assessed a re-enrollment fee.

 

Payment Policy:

All tuition is due & paid monthly by automatic withdrawal on the 1st day of the month. There will be no refunds of tuition in the event of absence or withdrawal for any reason whatsoever, regardless of illness, or voluntary withdrawal. A valid credit card is required on file to have a lesson subscription, payments of other types are accepted prior to the 1st of the month. A late fee of $50.00 will be applied to overdue accounts or declined accounts after the 5th of the month. Accounts outstanding after the 15th of the month will be subject to the lesson spot being released. 

 

Communication: 

Families should keep current with studio information by checking the website, the Student Portal, newsletters or by reading emails. It is the student’s responsibility to sign up for recitals and events.  

 

Missed Lessons:

Instructors and lessons are scheduled in advance; therefore there are no refunds given for missed classes for any reason.  When provided a minimum of 24 hour notice of cancellation, students will be eligible for a makeup lesson credit. 4 credits per subscription are allowed at a time. 4 credits max per 120 day period. Lesson credits expire 4 months after the date input and may not be rescheduled once redeemed. Credits will automatically expire if student becomes inactive.

 

Staff Obligations:

The instructors are professional musicians, therefore, occasional lessons may be missed due to performance obligations. Should a teacher be away, a qualified guest instructor will be provided or an offer to reschedule the lesson time. Due to the nature of coordinating time slots and the schedules of instructors and students, it may be necessary to reassign a student to another instructor. Per the instructor contract, please do not solicit our instructors as they are not permitted to teach MMW students outside of the studio.       

           

Practice Expectations:

Students must own an instrument and are required to practice at home. The recommended amount of practice time will be discussed with the student depending on their age/skill level. You may be asked to purchase curriculum books or additional materials; books are available at the studio for purchase. Please be sure to bring these to each lesson.                                                                                                                                                                        

 

Personal Belongings:

MMW will not be liable for the disappearance, loss or theft of, or damage to, personal property (this includes musical instruments and books). Please label everything that comes into the studio and feel free to look through the studio lost & found.  

 

Behavior Expectations: Students are expected to be respectful of the instructors and staff at MMW, along with other students and studio equipment. Failure to abide by these expectations may result in the disenrollment of that student.

 

Parental Support: Encourage consistent practice habits and uninterrupted time for practice. Please be on time for the lesson and make sure your student brings the correct materials. Students remain parent’s responsibility before and following the lesson time. Students need to be promptly picked up at the end of their lesson time.Students arriving late for their lessons will not be given extra lesson time. Parents please be at the studio a few minutes before the lesson ends to receive communication from the instructor.

 

Change of  Enrollment:

A written 30 day notice to the MMW office  is required  for any change of enrollment or cancellation of lessons or ensembles out of courtesy to the instructors. Please see the office for a lesson cancellation form or email the studio at  lessons@mmwaz.com.  Look for an email confirmation from our office to confirm that your change of enrollment has been processed.  

 

Photo/Video Release:

The studio is hereby granted permission to take photographs &/or videos of the student to use in brochures, studio website, posters, advertisements, press-releases and other promotional materials the studio creates.                                                                                                                                            

 

Legal:

Parents, legal guardians of minors, and adult students waive the right of any legal action against Music Maker Workshops for any reason; including injury sustained on studio property or at outside venues or at special events.  The participant is required to give up all future claims against MMW.  By this agreement and by attending classes or otherwise participating in studio activities, on behalf or his- or herself, and on behalf of his or her heirs and assigns, expressly agrees to forever discharge, waive and release Music Maker Workshops and each of its subsidiaries and their respective members, directors, affiliates, instructors, employees and or independent contractors from any and all claims, demands, injuries, liabilities, actions, causes of action from all the acts of active or passive negligence including but not limited to  injury, mental injury, death, and/or mishap, accident  resulting from or connected with MMW classes, services or facilities.
